At the Horse Festival of the Parc Moulins Expo (Allier), the horse as standard meter throughout the weekend

Costumed equestrian shows, stunts, aerobatics… Meet Chevaux de Prestige. From town to town, from country to country, this company from the Bouches-du-Rhône region carries around a whole universe during its tours in France and Europe. Several universes, more precisely, rectifies John di Domenico, its co-founder:

Our equestrian shows can be oriented on different themes: tribal, barbarian, cossack, cowboy, Indian, medieval… Depending on each theme, we are able to reproduce the equestrian traditions to which they correspond. We also make all of our costumes ourselves.

John is still young. But this experienced rider is already establishing himself as an old hand. The horse, the entertainment world, is his whole life. A family affair: “My father, Billy, worked in several troupes, I have always been immersed in this environment… I played in my first horse show at the age of 4”.

Since then, John has made his way. With a horse never very far. He notably straddled fiery mounts for the most incredible spectacle of the French Wild West: “I worked as a stuntman at Disneyland Paris for the Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show”.

“Passion, freedom, sharing, adrenaline”

And then, in 2000, he and his father began to write their own story by creating their troop: Prestige Horses. Horses ? Mainly Iberians. The knights ? A hard core of six artists: “But others can come and join us, depending on the shows… And the budget we have”.

John and Billy have just gone through a hostile country: the health crisis punctuated by show cancellations. But the crossing of the desert is over, business is picking up again at a run. Moreover, the small troop put down its leather saddles in Moulins during the three days of the Horse Festival. And tomorrow ? She will travel the roads according to the contracts. Travel Travel. All roads lead to horses. ” The good life ! “. John di Domenico sums it up in four words: “Passion, freedom, sharing, adrenaline”.
